About

After years of frustrating progress in my study of the Bible, I enrolled as a full-time student and earned a masters degree in theology and a doctorate in Bible exposition. I remain a long way from expertise, but I have learned many things which I want to share so that they might help others with their Bible study. Selfishly, I find that writing about a topic forces me to clarify my understanding and position on the topic, which continues to be my desire.

I recapped my journey with the Bible in this introductory post, From a Pinch of Salt to a Ph.D.

I welcome feedback, correction, and difference in opinions. On points that have a basis in faith, we might have to agree to disagree, while discussion can be stimulating.

You can find more information about me in my personal blog at The Adventures of the Cajunlimeys.

My doctoral dissertation is titled, “Expanding the Apostolic Mission: A Biblical-Theological Analysis of Peter’s Epistles as Evidence of His Universal Apostleship Beyond the Jewish Context.” In summary, I examine the trajectory of Peter’s life and its impact on his approach to non-Jews, and conclude that Peter was an Apostle to the Gentiles! You can find it here.

I hope that you enjoy reading my musings and pray that it may help you on your journey to understanding more of God’s message to humankind about Jesus.
